Dapa Port, Siargao — arrivals & transfers
Siargao’s main seaport and the island arrival point for passenger ferries from Surigao City.
Arriving by sea
Dapa is a municipality on the south side of Siargao Island and the island’s main seaport. Passenger ferries connect Dapa with Surigao City Port on the Mindanao mainland, making the port the sea-arrival counterpart to Sayak Airport and the main passenger sea route onto the island.
Fastcraft or RORO — the difference that matters
Two classes of vessel work the Surigao City–Dapa crossing, and they are not interchangeable. Fastcraft are passenger-only and quicker. RORO (“roll-on, roll-off”) ferries are slower but carry vehicles, which makes them the sailing to look for if you are bringing a motorbike or a car onto the island. Several operators run the route — Evaristo & Sons Sea Transport and Montenegro Lines are the two that appear on every listing we checked — and both classes use the same Dapa terminal.
Check the sailing close to your date
Published Surigao–Dapa timetables contradict each other, and departures are added or cancelled at short notice in bad weather. We would rather not reprint a schedule that may be wrong by the time you read it, so: confirm the sailing with the operator or the terminal near your travel date, and treat any third-party timetable as indicative only. If your crossing moves, that is exactly the kind of thing to tell us, so the pickup moves with it.
Plan the road leg before you sail
The ferry gets you onto Siargao, but most stays continue by road to General Luna or another town. Send us your ferry date, the service you are taking, your destination and how much luggage you have; we will quote the onward transfer in writing before you travel.
Meeting you at the port
A pre-arranged pickup removes the need to negotiate the next leg after disembarking with bags. If your sailing changes, send the updated details so the pickup can be planned around the arrival you are actually making.
No published price — and that is deliberate
A fair price depends on your date, your group, your bags and how long we wait. So we quote per trip instead of publishing a number we would have to hedge. Fill in the form below and we will send a fixed, all-in price by email.
