Sugba Lagoon is in the municipality of Del Carmen and cannot be reached by road. From General Luna, the journey first goes by road to Del Carmen port, then continues by boat through the mangrove channels to the lagoon. One date to plan around: a municipal ordinance closes the lagoon to visitors every year from 10 January to 10 February, while the rest of Del Carmen’s mangrove sites stay open.
